One of the most common reasons clients call us is the downsizing dilemma: a smaller office is more affordable, but the records cabinets won't fit. Mobile shelving is the answer — and you don't need to buy it new.
The compaction maths
Static shelving requires an aisle between every bay. Mobile shelving needs only one open aisle for the entire run. On a typical 10-bay system that's a 50% floorspace reduction with identical storage capacity.
How relocation makes it affordable
If you already have mobile shelving in your current site, relocating it to the smaller office is normally cheaper than buying static lateral cabinets new. We'll re-cut the tracks to fit the new room and use only as many bays as you need — surplus bays can be stored or sold on.
Lease-end timing
Plan the relocation 4–6 weeks before lease end. That gives time for survey, parts ordering and a relaxed install in the new office without overlap costs.
